Department of Education Federal Work-Study Program

Rowan University participates in the Department of Education's Federal Work Study Program. Students who wish to participate in this program must apply for financial aid and show "need".

The program provides jobs on and off campus for students who indicate a desire to work on their FAFSA and show financial "need", as defined by the Department of Education. Many positions provide skills and experience which will assist students in their career development. Individuals demonstrating special skills may participate in the "Career Track" program. Work may not exceed 20 hours per week while classes are in session or 30 hours per week when classes are not in session. This program is available to full and part time students.

Institutional Work Study

Individuals wishing to participate in work study and do not meet eligibility requirements for the federal program, can participate in the Institutional Work Study Program. These positions are made available through institutional funding. Jobs vary from general office work to pre-professional opportunities. Interested students must be full time and should apply directly to the hiring departments.
