RESEARCH SUMMARY:
My current research is a study of the development of a community of
learners within a network of programs and classrooms connected through
the Internet. This community involves about 75 teachers and about
one thousand five hundred students in fifteen states and two foreign
countries. I am an active participant in the community and have involved
a colleague, Dr. Kathleen Sernak, as a collaborator in the research
and presentation of the findings. Included in this research is to
create a global learning community for k-12 students focusing on gifted
learners.
