Workshops The Office of Sponsored Programs offers workshops on various topics. Upcoming dates will be posted. Faculty/staff are encouraged to join us for the workshops. Spring 2012 Workshop Series Hosted in partnership with the Office of University Advancement Finding Grant Funding This session will provide resources for funding that great idea or research you've been thinking about. In addition to information on corporate, state, federal and private funding options, an overview of proposal writing will also be presented. Room 221, Student Center Rutgers University – Camden Campus is hosting a one day National Endowment for the Humanities regional workshop on Thursday, March 1, 2012 from 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the Rutgers-Camden Campus Center (Multi-Purpose Room). Daniel Sack, Program Officer in the Division of Research Programs, will provide an overview of the programs offered by the NEH as well as strategies for successful grant applications. March or April, 2012 Managing Time and Effort Reporting at a PUI Presented at NCURA Region II Conference in New York City, May 3, 2011. Managing Time and Effort Reporting at a PUI A-21 Annotation: A Guide for the Every Day User Corporate Partnerships and Intellectual Property Attendees will be introduced to the broad areas of engagement activities for University Corporate Partners. The cultivation of corporate partnerships (including leveraging alumni relationships), and efforts to attract key corporate partners to facilities on campus, will be discussed. In addition, various examples of corporate partnering arrangements will be reviewed, including corporate gifts, Sponsored Research Agreements, and Licenses/Intellectual Property. Specific issues in corporate partnering will be addressed, including publication, intellectual property ownership, conflict of interest and consulting. Click Here to view the Spring 2012 presentation. Next Workshop date TBD Budgeting 101 Developing a budget is one of the most challenging aspects of preparing a funding proposal. This workshop will offer insights into the budget planning process, including determining direct costs, indirect costs and cost charing.
