University Graduation Candidates

The list of candidates for degree conferral includes all students who have a graduation or walking application on file. The walking form is not needed if you applied to graduate or were awarded during Summer 2014, Fall 2014, or Spring 2015. For detailed information on applying to graduate and/or applying to walk in commencement, please visit the graduation page . If you have not completed a graduation application (through Student Self Service Banner) or walking application (Commencement Participation (Walking) form) your name will not be included on this list.

Information from these lists will be included in the annual Commencement Program. The printed name listed is how the name will appear on both the Commencement Program and Diploma. This listing does not mean you have reserved your tickets for commencement. For commencement information, please contact University Events.

Please note, the below listings for each term will be updated to follow the graduation application deadlines (Summer 6/30, Fall 10/31, Spring 3/15). If you do not see your name on the list for your term of application or if your name or major needs to be updated, please email graduation@rowan.edu. NO CHANGES OF ANY KIND MAY BE MADE TO YOUR ACADEMIC RECORD ONCE YOU HAVE GRADUATED.

Any changes must be made prior to March 15, in order to ensure that these changes will be listed in the commencement program.

What is the difference between graduation and commencement?

Graduation refers to receiving a degree when a student has been certified by the University as meeting all degree requirements. Upon certification, the degree is awarded and displays on your Rowan University transcript. Degree conferral occurs 4-6 weeks after final semester grades are posted. Diplomas are printed and mailed after the degree certification process is complete.

At the Commencement ceremony, family, friends and the Rowan community celebrate each graduate's academic achievements.

Participation in the Commencement Ceremony has no bearing on the awarding of your degree. Students who have applied to graduate or completed a Commencement Participation (Walking) form may participate in the Commencement ceremony. After applying for graduation or submitting a Department Approval through the Office of the Registrar, each student will receive a confirmation email notifying them to register to participate. Registering to participate notifies University Events of your intention to attend Commencement, so they can reserve your seat at the ceremony and provide tickets for your guests.
