FocalCool is a medical device startup company. Our goal is to develop technology that reduces tissue damage from heart attacks and strokes. Using a special catheter system we can apply rapid localized cooling to internal organs. FocalCool has been awarded an NIH Phase II SBIR grant. This will allow us to improve the catheter design, conduct pre-clinical testing, and demonstrate efficacy. The FocalCool team is made up of a Rowan University engineering professor, two engineers (one is a Rowan engineering graduate), and several Rowan engineering students. Strategic Billing Enterprise (SBE) will perform account receivable services as an insurance billing contractor. Medical and dental care offices, municipalities, and ambulatory service organizations typically outsource part or their entire insurance claim fulfillment; the core mission of the business is to process insurance claims for these entities. As a proprietor and executive, I will collaboratively implement the business infrastructure and supervise the management team. SBE will initially serve clients in the Philadelphia Metro area with future goals of serving clients nationally.
