Expectations
All EOF/MAP students are expected to abide by the EOF/MAP Compliance Guidelines

SCHOLARS Learning Community
The SCHOLARS Learning Community provides first-year students with a collaborative living/learning experience, integrating the efforts of students, faculty, and the EOF/MAP program staff, to inspire academic excellence and enhance the first-year experience. | more info

Harley E. Flack Mentoring Program
The Harley E. Flack Mentoring Program supports the development of students with an array of student, faculty and staff support and through academic, cultural and social programs and services. The program provides a network of support to undergraduate students to aid in retention and graduation and promote career and advance degree exploration. All Pre-College Institute freshmen are assigned a peer mentor through the mentoring program. Upper-classmen have the opportunity to become mentors. | more info

Chi Alpha Epsilon
The Chi Alpha Epsilon honor society recognizes the academic achievement of students, promotes continued high academic standards, and enables networking among its members. | more info

Structured Study
EOF/MAP freshman students are required to spend several hours per week in a structured environment to study, receive tutoring services and prepare for their academic coursework. All EOF/MAP students are encouraged to participate in structured study.

Tutoring
Students in need of tutorial services can complete the tutoring request form with their EOF/MAP counselor to aid them in receiving tutorial services. Students are encouraged to use the Academic Success Center and the Writing Lab for tutoring assistance.

Academic Coaching
Academic Coaching provides under-performing students in the EOF/MAP program with an academic coach for one-on-one weekly meetings to support students in the acquisition of academic skills such as note-taking, time management, organization, and studying and test-taking strategies.

EOF Graduate Grant
The graduate school grant provides EOF students with the opportunity to with financial support to pursue an a graduate degree at the university. | more info

Book Loans
EOF/MAP students who are in need of additional funds to pay for books can receive a book loan through the EOF/MAP office by submitting a book loan form. Students are required to return the borrowed funds at the end of the semester.

Emergency Assistance
Students who are in extreme personal need can request emergency funds from the EOF/MAP office.
