Services of EOF/MAP
The EOF/MAP program provides support services and programs for EOF/MAP students from freshmen year through graduation.
One on One Guidance
EOF/MAP students are assigned an EOF/MAP counselor to work with them from freshmen year through graduation. Students are required to meet regularly
with their EOF/MAP counselor for one-on-one discussions on academic, financial, career, and personal needs, and the counselors refer students to additional
resources as needed.
Academic Support
The EOF/MAP program monitors the academic status of EOF/MAP students each semester. Progress reports are requested from the professors teaching EOF/MAP students and they are referred
to tutoring or Academic Coaching when necessary.
Financial Assistance
Educational Opportunity Fund program students receive an EOF grant from the State of New Jersey each semester if they are in compliance with state and program guidelines. Residential students
receive $700 per semester, commuters receive $575 per semester. Rowan University has committed additional financial support of $1,000 per semester for EOF students who maintain a 2.0 grade
point average each semester. Additional financial resources are available for EOF/MAP students for assistance with conference registration, graduation fees, book loans, etc..
EOF/MAP First Year Seminar
Freshmen year for all students can be very overwhelming. To assist with the transitional support of EOF/MAP freshmen, the EOF/MAP program conducts weekly classes during the fall semester of their
first semester as a Rowan student. During the First Year Seminar, EOF/MAP students will gain additional information on topics such as support services on and off campus, leadership opportunities, study abroad,
financial aid, and scholarship opportunities.
