Summer 2016

July

  • Review Parent and Family Handbook
  • Join the Parent Connection E-Mail Group
  • Complete Rowan student self-service "Parent/Guardian Demographic Information"
  • Register for "Rowan Alert: Emergency Notification System"through Rowan student self-service
  • Week of 7/15 - Fall 2016 bills available to view on Self Service
  • 7/15 - Health forms due

August

  • 8/1 - Search for "work-study" job (student employment) online, www.rowan.edu/provost/financialaid/workstudy.html
  • 8/24 - Fall bill payment extended deadline
  • 8/15 - Completion of RU Reading Together: Common Reading Program 2016-2017, "Americanah"
  • 8/25 - 2016 Family Weekend Registration & Payment Deadline
  • 8/28 - Freshman Move-In Day (8:00am - 4:00pm)
  • 8/28 - Move-In Day: "All Aboard the Brown-Eyed Susan" for parents, family members and students (Chamberlain Student Center First Floor & Pit, Willow/Magnolia Gazebo, Evergreen/Mullica Basketball Court, and the Holly Point Commons)
  • 8/30 - President's Welcome
  • 8/26 & 27 - Upperclassmen Move-In (9:00am - 4:00pm)

  • 1/1 - Earliest date to File a FAFSA for the academic year 2016/2017
  • 1/17 - Spring Semester Begins

  • 3/15 - Suggested date to have your FAFSA on file to allow RU to offer incoming freshman a preliminary financial aid award package
