Healthy Campus Initiatives: StudentCare Peer Education
About StudentCare StudentCare, founded in September 2008, is a group of highly dedicated students. The group learns and promotes an array of health and wellness topics. Students are trained in peer facilitation skills to help other students through various struggles. StudentCare also reaches out to the Rowan community by participating in numerous on-campus events promoting overall health and wellness. StudentCare typically meets once a week. Join StudentCare! Contact Allie Pearce to join! All majors are welcome and encouraged to join. Check out our Facebook page for current events and photos! During the 2011-2012 academic year, StudentCare participated in Send Suicide Packing, Pillow Polo, Make or Break: The Communication Challenge, and Take Back the Night, working with the Counseling and Psychological Services Center. Each year is a new adventure, and StudentCare is constantly increasing their knowledge about topics that directly impact their college peers.
