ENTERING FRESHMEN & TRANSFERS

Welcome to Rowan University!  We are excited that you have made the choice to join the Rowan University community.  Did you know that you are not restricted to starting classes in the fall?  Many incoming freshman and transfer students elect to take courses in the summer for several reasons:

• Early academic advising for students who are not sure of what to major in  
• The chance to become acclimated while carrying a lighter course load
• Smaller class sizes
• The opportunity to get a head start on prerequisites and degree requirements
• The prospect of finishing your degree in your desired timeline

Best of all, depending on the session your course is offered in, you could complete a class in as little as 3 weeks!  You’ll still have plenty of time to take advantage of all the other activities on your checklist this summer.
