Mission Statement
The Institute's mission is to serve as the vehicle through which Rowan assumes a leadership role to address the difficult problems facing Southern New Jersey. The Institute will focus specifically on the complex issues underlying the deterioration of the economic and social foundation in urban areas. The Institute's primary purpose is to establish partnerships among and between government, education, business, civic and community organizations and their leaders to design solutions to these problems. Through the college's schools, the faculty and students will work cooperatively with the Institute to design and produce programs and services for the area's urban centers.
