Camden Development Collaborative funders and community partners are exploring next phase options now that the second three year funding cycle is coming to an end. CAMCare is completing the final report for the Community Health Workers Demonstration Project...The FACES Collaborative early childhood component will present a paper at the National Black Child Development conference this Fall...The Camden City Healthy Futures Collaborative has endorsed the proposed UMDNJ Center for the Elimination of Health Disparities...Parkside Business and Community in Partnership recently celebrated the ground breaking for the new Boys and Girls Club facility...CAMConnect Executive Director Dickie Lynn Gronseth began work in March...The Camden Empowerment Zone is sponsoring internships for the Summer...Phyllis Fonville has volunteered to act as lead facilitator for the continuation of the Color Line Project in Camden. Greg Allen has successfully launched Camdenmatters– a news information service. University Partners - Faculty Dr. Thomas Hamer(Economics) completed an economic impact analysis of the St. Lawrence Cement Plant for the Waterfront South Community Advisory Committee...Dr. Berhe-Habte Gorgis (Marketing) directed a feasibility study for the International Plaza Project...Dr. DeMond Miller (Sociology) instructed Strategies and Tactics for Planned Community Change II during the Spring semester...Dr. Corann Okorodudu (Psychology), Dr. Gary Hunter (History) and Dr. Bill Corrigan involved student from their classes in the Color Line Project...Dr. Bruce Caswell (Political Science) instructed the Field Internship course...Julie Mallory-Church participated as an artist contributor to the Color Line Project.
