About Us

The mission of University Web Services is to maintain the overall web presence at Rowan while ensuring all websites are consistent with the standards set forth by the RU Web Policy. The Director of University Web Services reports directly to the Associate Provost for Academic Affairs.

The Web Services Team can be contacted at webservices@rowan.edu or 856.256.4410. They maintain offices within Memorial Hall between the hours of 8:30 am - 5:30 pm, Monday through Friday.

  • Build Personal Websites or Train Faculty & Staff how to build personal websites (public.WWW’s)

    Who Can Help?
    Instructional Technology (IT) within Information Resources can provide assistance with all faculty technology needs. Contact it@rowan.edu / 856.256.4588.
  • Manage Web-based Email Clients (i.e. Outlook or Student WebMail)
  • Manage Network Usernames & Passwords
  • Manage Users' “H:Drives” or “public.WWW’s”
  • Maintain the Campus Web Servers

    Who Can Help?
    The Information Resources Support Desk is available five days a week in Memorial Hall to answer your technical questions regarding email services, H:Drives and other network services. Visit the online Technology Toolbox or contact them at support@rowan.edu / 856.256.4000.

  • Create/Design Web Media for Faculty: Personal Websites, Course-Specific Websites, Online Courses or any type of media related to online courses
  • Administer the Campus Online Courseware System (i.e. WebCT)

    Who Can Help?
    Many of the computer labs on campus have Macromedia web-editing products such as Dreamweaver. The software package in itself has various tutorials that link to Macromedia's online help section. There are also extensive number of help books on the topic. Also consider taking one of the many web development courses Rowan offers.
