Position Announcement Position: Phonathon Associate, FWS and IWS Department: Annual Fund Description: Phonathon associates are essential to the University's mission, to the success of the Annual Fund, and to maintaining relationships between alumni and the University. Phonathon associates contact thousands of alumni and parents each year to update them on campus events, answer questions, provide information about the annual fund, and solicit gifts in support of Rowan's students and faculty. Dollars raised from phonathon support everything from upgrading technology on campus to financial aid scholarships. Students are the best ambassadors to talk about the Rowan experience - because they're living it. Qualifications: Phonathon associates are expected to be enthusiastic about the University, pay close attention to detail, have excellent verbal and written communication skills (be able to speak in a clear and pleasant voice), and be able to represent the RU Foundation and Rowan University to various constituent groups. Previous telemarketing experience is not required. All new callers will participate in a training program before they begin to make calls.
