What is P-20?
The Regional P-20 Coalition of
Southern New Jersey ia an effort to integrate and articulate three
traditionally disconnected levels of education - preschool, K-12,
and postsecondary. The success of this effort will create a seamless
system of education that will provide New Jersey's residents with
opportunities to determine the path of least resistance to achieve
their occupational goals.

What is the Regional
P-20 Coalition of Southern New Jersey?
The P-20 Coalition is made up
of a two-tier executive council led by a Council of Conveners
comprised of gatekeepers representing higher education, business/industry,
the state department of education, the community-at-large, the
state board of education, community colleges, and the K-12 public
schools. The primary function of this council is to eliminate
barriers that impede learner transition from preprimary school
through the doctorate or through whatever career-training path
a learner chooses to become a productive citizen of society. The
driving force of the Regional P-20 Coalition is a series of Local
P-20 Councils that are focused around specific initiatives which
emerge from the communities and/or education institutions located
in the 8 county region of southern New Jersey (Atlantic, Burlington,
Camden, Cape May, Cumberland, Gloucester, Ocean, and Salem).
