The Education
Trust works for the high academic achievement of all students
at all levels, kindergarten through college. Located in Washington,
D.C., Ed Trust assists in the development of state, regional,
and local P-16 initiatives. The folks at Ed Trust have been most
helpful in the development of the Regional P-20 Coalition of Southern
New Jersey!
The Education Commission
of the States (ECS) provides information and resources for
P-16 efforts. They seek to improve public education by facilitating
the exchange of information, ideas and experiences among state
policymakers and education leaders.
Just
for the Kids - New Jersey is an educational reporting and
accountability system that is designed to improve student and
school achievement through the identification and implementation
of successful practices. The Business Coalition for Educational
Excellence (BCEE) at the New Jersey Chamber of Commerce is funding
and providing the Just for the Kids - New Jersey web site at no
cost to educators, parents and citizens of our state.
School
Counts! holds students accountable for their performance and
provides a reward system for students who may not be eligible
for other awards. The School Counts! credential allows
students to effectively 'market' their accomplishments to potential
employers. School Counts! is a registered Character Education
program that comes with the support of New Jersey's business community.
The Educational Information
Resource Center (EIRC) is a public agency specializing in
education-related programs and services for parents, schools,
communities and nonprofit organizations throughout New Jersey.
EIRC programs also reach into more than 36 states and 8 foreign
countries.
EIRC offers a great many resources under one roof. These range
from gifted and special education services to creative problem
solving...from nationally validated programs in science, mathematics
and geography to child care and child assault prevention...from
graphics and printing to computer instruction...and from teacher
in-service and curriculum design to international exchange programs.
