Dr. Gallia has a wide range of responsibilities, including serving as a liaison between key constituency groups on- and off-campus as well as facilitating a variety of projects and initiatives critical to the institution.

In his 40 years at the University, he has been a biological science and secondary education professor and has served three terms as a department chair and eight years as executive associate dean in the College of Education. In addition to his position as chief of staff/vice president for University Relations, Dr. Gallia holds the rank of full professor in the Teacher Education and Educational Leadership departments.
