If you're interested in business, but those interests go beyond accounting, finance, management or marketing, then Economics may be the area you are looking for. The Economics major exposes you to economic theories and trends in the context of other disciplines such as history, political science, sociology and psychology. In Economics, you'll acquire the skills for analyzing important and stimulating national and global problems. Economics deals with many current issues facing our society, such as energy, inflation, unemployment, pollution, urban decay, as well as foreign trade and government budget deficits. And, because Economics involves other disciplines, you'll get a broad-based education qualifying you to work in many fields. Graduates have gone on to work in banking, construction management, social services and financial services. Others have pursued graduate study in business administration, law, public administration and urban studies.
