Environmental Studies - Confronting Complex Challenges

From pollution and climate change to the loss of biodiversity, environmental issues have to be looked at through many different lenses: social, political, economic, ethical, scientific. Rowan’s new major in Environmental Studies, which draws its coursework from several different departments in the sciences and social science, is designed to help students understand the many complex environmental problems we face as a nation and global community. As a graduate, you’ll be well prepared for a career in a range of fields where environmental concerns figure prominently, such as education, research, consulting, law, journalism and public police, as well as for admission to graduate school in environmental studies.
