RU Ready to Learn More? Communication: Journalism - Knowledge is power! The art and craft of writing is a highly prized skill in this Information Age. The use of knowledge is power. And, the shaping and delivery of this information is crucial in our everyday life. As a Journalism student, you'll learn how to analyze and synthesize information, to make judgments about what is newsworthy, and to tell compelling stories. All your professors are professional writers themselves, many of who have published novels, poems, non-fiction books and magazine and newspaper articles, as well as regular writers, reporters and editors of major newspapers nationwide. And, you will write! And, write, and write and write - having lots of opportunity to practice your craft both on campus and off through campus publications, internships and part-time jobs at local, regional and national news outlets. The only question remaining is: How will YOU use the power?
