Law & Justice Studies - Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

Law and Justice Studies focuses on the study of crime, criminal law, the criminal justice system and social justice. If you're interested in law enforcement, criminal justice and court services, corrections and human services, or a career in law, then Law and Justice Studies is the major for you. The unique aspects of the program allow customization to suit your career direction and goals.

Field experiences will be an important part of your Law and Justice Studies program. Faculty provide research project opportunities and field trip experiences to relate to and enhance classroom study. Additional experience-for credit-is encouraged through real-world application by completing internships at government agencies, social work organizations, law offices, youth counseling services, juvenile shelters, politicians' offices, and other law and justice organizations.

Law and Justice Studies graduates have found success in a range of positions including Federal, State and local law enforcement officers, court clerk, court administrator, family court counselor, forensic technician, juvenile officer, corrections officer, probation officer, parole officer, FBI agent and CIA agent. Others have gone on to graduate study in criminal justice or law school.
