Mechanical engineering at Rowan is about applying ideas to achieve results. You'll learn engineering by doing engineering-and you won't wait until junior year to start. In a series of courses called Clinics, which begin your very first semester, teams of students work together to solve real problems and complete real projects, often for partners in business and industry. From improving the organization of high-tech equipment in New Jersey State Police trooper cars, to designing a better ski-lift accessory, to carrying out your own research and project testing on NASA's "Vomit Comet," that's what mechanical engineering students do. And, that's what you'll do, and more. The sky's the limit to what you can achieve.
