Studying theory and emphasizing the creative is what the Music Composition major is all about. At Rowan we place an emphasis on developing your unique individual approach to creative work, exploring previously unexplored avenues of awareness and developing your individual stylistic point of view as a composer.

With so many vocal and instrumental ensembles on campus, you'll have many opportunities to compose works for immediate performance. Many Rowan Composition graduates have had their works performed professionally throughout the Unites States and have received fellowships, commissions and awards.
