Music Education - Musician as Teacher!

As a Music Education major at Rowan, you will develop your expertise as a musician and train professionally as an educator, too. Your program will emphasize practical music experience and research in education to mold you into a thoughtful decision maker in the music classroom.

The primary goal of Music Education study at Rowan is to prepare you as an outstanding music teacher for grades Kindergarten through 12 in the schools of New Jersey. However, because of the accreditations by the National Association of Schools of Music and the National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education, many graduates teach in schools across the country.
