Physical Science - Applied science, teaching, and the science-related career

If you're interested in teaching science, going on to health professional school, or other careers such as technical writing, marketing or sales, then Physical Science may the program for you.

The Physical Science major offers a broad background in physical science, rather than in-depth exposure to a specific discipline. The program is flexible, with more elective than other science majors. This flexibility allows you to pursue certification to teach physical sciences in grades 7 to 12, or build strengths in other related areas such as mathematics, computer science, business or communication.

Rowan has some of the best-equipped college laboratories in the country, with separate labs for individual areas of science study. You'll have access to all instrumentation beginning in freshman year. And, you'll work in a brand-new $47 million facility dedicated solely to science study and research, which includes 27 teaching laboratories, a planetarium, and rooftop observatory with high-powered telescope and eight telescopic portals-further enhancing the teaching of science at Rowan.
