RU Admissions - ideas in action
RU Ready to Learn More? Undeclared - Exploring Majors, Careers & Life! You're on you way to college - but you're not sure what you want to study. Maybe you can't decide between a few favorite fields. Maybe you can't find the perfect match between your career goals and a degree program. Maybe you just don't know what your career goals are yet-but you do know that you want to continue your education. Relax! It's OK. In fact you're in good company. At least one-third of Rowan University students begin as "undeclared" majors. At Rowan, you don't have to declare a major to get help with scheduling classes or planning your career search. As an undeclared student, you'll have access to academic advisers and career services from your first day on campus. You'll begin your college career with General Education required courses. The Career and Academic Planning Center (CAP) serves as your "academic home" until you declare a major, helping to choose the right classes in the correct sequence. But, we don't leave you alone or expect you to figure your life out on your own. We're after you, and on you with deep self-analysis and advising to help you determine your own strengths, weaknesses, interests, likes and dislikes-and help you decide what it is you want to do.
