Who is ACT?

The Assessment Consulting Team (ACT), a group of faculty members, facilitates a culture that celebrates learning at Rowan University by focusing on student learning outcomes assessment at the programmatic level in an intentional and strategic manner.

ACT is a key means of support for assessment activities.  ACT has developed a model to guide programs in developing assessment processes and will provide direct assistance, including

  • facilitation of whole-department sessions to identify a program’s educational values
  • assistance with curriculum mapping and evaluation
  • assistance with identifying appropriate student learning outcomes
  • resources and expertise to aid in identifying or creating methods of describing or measuring student achievement
  • strategies for applying assessment findings to improvement of the program

The Assessment Consulting Team can be reached by email at act@rowan.edu. The current members of ACT are Donald Stoll (Writing Arts), Maria Rosado (Geography and Anthropology), Christy Faison (Teacher Education), and Roberta Harvey (Writing Arts). This site is maintained by ACT and all comments and questions regarding the content should be directed to act@rowan.edu.
