The "2010 State of Higher Education for LGBT People" reveals “chilly” campus climate toward LGBT people, high rates of harassment and lack of safety, inclusiveness in policies, programs and practices across the country. National research has consistently shown that LGBT youth in kindergarten through high school encounter alarming rates of harassment, discrimination and bullying but what happens when these youth go to college?

In a time when suicide by lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) youth has become so prominent and visible an issue in the media, it is critically important to highlight, recognize and encourage LGBT youth who are making a difference, creating positive change and making it better for others – that’s why Campus Pride is proud to announce this year’s Voice & Action National Leadership Awards.

Campus Pride announces the dates, location and registration rates for the fifth annual Campus Pride Summer Leadership Camp, aptly called "CAMP PRIDE," to be held this year at Vanderbilty University from July 19-24, 2011.
