The amount of any grant is based on the results of a formula established by the federal government. Additionally, the amount of the grant is affected by the amount of funds available to the program and the number of credits the student is (will be) taking. To be eligible for this grant, students must meet other criteria: 1. Students must matriculate in an eligible program. Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grants Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grants (SEOG) are available to a limited number of students who demonstrate exceptional financial need and who also receive Pell Grants. Students applying for financial aid are automatically considered for a Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant. Tuition Aid Grants (TAG) New Jersey Tuition Aid Grant (TAG) recipients must be residents of New Jersey for 12 consecutive months prior to receiving this grant. In addition, recipients must be or intend to be enrolled as full-time undergraduates and must demonstrate financial need on the Student Aid Report. TAG awards are renewable annually, provided continued financial need is demonstrated. Actual awards depend on the tuition charges at the institution of attendance. The New Jersey Higher Education Assistance Authority notifies students of their award. Educational Opportunity Fund Established by the New Jersey State Legislature in early 1968, the Educational Opportunity Fund (EOF) helps disadvantaged students. Eligibility is judged on financial need and motivation for future academic work, not just on past grades or test scores. Students must live in New Jersey for twelve months before receiving this aid. To be considered for this program, students should write to request application forms from the Director of Admissions, Rowan University, Glassboro, NJ 08028. Rowan University's EOF Office can provide more information.
