RESEARCH SUMMARY:

I am an Assistant Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering, as well as an active researcher in Environmental Fluid Mechanics; innovative techniques in engineering education; watershed management; dam safety; measurement of chemical transport rates in laboratory and natural systems; and physical and numerical modeling of open channel and closed-conduit flows.

I am the principal investigator for research funded by the United States Environmental Protection Agency, the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, and several private dam owners. I have received honors from the Environmental Engineering Division of the American Society for Engineering Education, as well as an Excellence in Civil Engineering Education (ExCEEd) teaching Fellowship from the American Society for Civil Engineers.
