The Office of International Student Services

Activities

In addition to activities scheduled or sponsored by the International Center, international students are encouraged to participate in the many student organizations and activities at Rowan University. A wide variety of programs are available, including trips, concerts, lectures, films, and athletic events.

University-supported student organizations can help students satisfy their cultural, educational, literary, musical, scientific, and professional interests. At Rowan, students have many opportunities to develop leadership skills. The Student Government Association (SGA) serves as the voice of the student body on the campus and at local and state levels.

Athletics are an important part of life at Rowan. Intercollegiate and intramural athletics provide activity and recreation for students throughout the school year. Men's sports include football, basketball, soccer, baseball, cross country, swimming and track and field. Women compete in basketball, cross country, field hockey, lacrosse, swimming, softball, volleyball, soccer and track and field. The Rec Center website has information about how to get involved in intramural athletics at Rowan.

A variety of support services are provided for students, including personal and academic counseling. Tutoring and help in developing study skills is available through the Learning Center in Savitz Hall.

Check out the Campus Calendar for up-to-date information on events on and around the Rowan campus.

The Student Center hosts events throughout the semester, through the Student University Programmers and also as part of the Rowan After Hours series. There is also a schedule of off-campus trips and activities available at the Students Center Info Desk. You can check their schedules online as well.
