Arrival at Rowan University

As you prepare for your arrival at Rowan University, please keep the following information in mind. Also be sure to refer to more extensive information provided in the New International Student Workbook designed to help guide you through the initial phases of the new international student experience.

Arrival

If you are traveling by plane, your flight should arrive at the Philadelphia International Airport. Please complete the Flight Information form and send it to the International Center: internationalapplicants@rowan.edu.

Some students will be living in University Housing while others will be living in off-campus housing near the University. Please refer to the correct section for additional arrival information.

Students Living in University Housing:

All incoming students who will live in University Housing will arrive at the International House at Rowan University. Here you will have the opportunity to meet fellow students and relax from your travels before moving in to University Housing.

You must make arrangements for transportation from the airport to the International House. Please refer to the Ground Transportation information sheet for transportation options from the Philadelphia International Airport to the International House. Directions to travel to the International House are available here.

Note: There are no temporary accommodations available at the University. Students arriving before the arrival period are responsible for their own temporary accommodations.

Students Living in Off-Campus Housing:

You must make arrangements for transportation from the Philadelphia International Airport. Please refer to the Ground Transportation information sheet for transportation options. Directions to travel to Rowan’s Glassboro Campus are available here. Please use MapQuest or Google Maps to get directions to a specific destination.

Mandatory Orientation

Before you begin classes, you will participate in a mandatory orientation that is designed to welcome you and introduce you to campus life and new friends. During this time, you will participate in placement testing and a series of presentations and activities that will help you adjust to the campus, culture, and community.
