STEM Symposium

Rowan’s 12th annual STEM Symposium showcases students’ scholarly activity and collaborative work in science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
Elevator Pitch Contest
Noon – 2:30 p.m., S.J. Technology Park, Rm. 137
Sometimes you only have a minute or so to sell your product or idea. Winners of this annual College of Business competition earn the right to compete in the nationals held in Chicago. A shuttle bus will run between the Tech Park and Bunce Hall every 20 minutes from 11:30 to 3:30.
Celebrating Excellence Awards Ceremony
11 a.m. – Noon, Boyd Recital Hall, Wilson Hall
Join in honoring Rowan’s best. The awards include: the Lindback Excellence in Teaching Award, the Joseph A. Barnes Award for Outstanding Service, the Gary Hunter Mentoring Award and the Faculty Research Achievement Award. All attendees are invited to a reception in Wilson Hall, Rm. 156, after the ceremony.
Jazz Ensemble Performance

R U Ready for a Change: The Evolution of Leadership

Come learn about maximizing your leadership skills from students who attended the 2008 National Latino Student Conference and the 2009 Carroll F. S. Hardy National Black Student Leadership Conference.
Digital Showcase of Journalism

The rapidly shifting world of journalism is highlighted in a variety of media projects, including those involving the Internet, broadcast and photography.
South Jersey Technology Park – Open House

Explore the “CAVE,” Rowan’s own virtual reality chamber, and 11 other engineering labs, and visit with the businesses hatching at the College of Business incubator. A shuttle bus will run between Rowan Hall and the Tech Park every 20 minutes from 12:30 to 3:30.

ArtBash!
5 - 8:30 p.m. Science Hall, Planetarium
Overwhelm your senses at ArtBash!, a presentation of film, animation, music, dance, theatre, spoken word, fine art and more. A reception and exhibition will begin at 5 p.m., followed by a film festival and special performances at 6:30 p.m.
On Leaves of Grass, Singing Songs of Myself
6:30 – 7:30 p.m., University Green, Bunce Hall
The Department of Theatre & Dance and Dance Extensions are taking this Walt Whitman-inspired dance production literally as they perform on the University Green.
The Children's Hour
8 p.m., Tohill Theater, Bunce Hall
This Department of Theatre & Dance production tells the tale of Karen Wright and Martha Dovie, who run a fledgling School for Girls in New England, which has the support of the most influential parents in the region. But when young Mary Tilford lies to her grandmother about a secret relationship at the school, rumors spread and unleash the destructive power of a lie.
