RU Engaged Series: Inform, Involve, Inspire

The information that was received is already being used for informed decision making. The Rowan University Campus Community is once again invited to participate in “RU Engaged”, a series of conversations on Campus Engagement and the role we each play in the success of the University. The remaining two-part series will take place over the next several semesters starting in Fall 2008. Series II, Fall 2008 and Spring 2009: “Impacting Decision Making: Shared Governance” Series III, Moved to Fall 2009: “Broadening our Horizons: Campus Diversity” The format for each series may vary, but over the next two semesters the conversations will focus on shared governance, and each session will feature key campus constituents including faculty, administrators, professional staff, support staff and students. The first meeting on September 29 will feature a panel presentation with representation from all constituencies at Rowan. The Fall 2008 series will focus on “Impacting Decision Making: Shared Governance.” What does shared governance mean? Do you feel your voice is heard at Rowan? What are effective means for campus communication? Have governance processes at Rowan adapted to internal and external changes? WE NEED YOU – Your thoughts, ideas and concerns! The first interactive conversation will be a panel presentation and interactive question and answer session (using iclickers) on September 29, 2008, 12:30 to 2:00 p.m. Other sessions are planned for: October 20, 2008, 6:00 p.m. (immediately preceding the Student Senate Meeting at 7:00) November 24, 2008, 12:30 to 2:00 p.m. To submit questions for discussion please email RUEngaged@rowan.edu.
