Rowan to Host Clean Energy Symposium Rowan University will host The New Jersey Clean Energy Symposium on Friday, June 18, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Rowan Hall (the College of Engineering building). The day will focus on how home owners, business owners and farm owners can provide clean and renewable energy for their properties. Topics for the seminar include energy efficiency for home and business, wind energy systems for New Jersey, installing photovoltaics in New Jersey, geothermal systems, utility interconnection requirements, clean energy incentives in New Jersey: introducing the solar renewable energy credit, and other available resources. Manufacturers will host booths that feature various products. Presenters include personnel representing The New Jersey Clean Energy Program, The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey, Bergey WindPower, ETM Solar, Conectiv and AJL Resources. Sponsors include The New Jersey Clean Energy Program; Rowan University?s Electrical and Computer, Civil and Environmental, and Mechanical Engineering departments; Rowan?s Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship; Pritchard Industries; The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey; Bergey Windpower; ETM Solar; The South Jersey Technology Park at Rowan University; AJL Resources; New Jersey Higher Education Partnership for Sustainability; and the New Jersey Audubon Society. Vendors/booths include Solara, Alta, ETM Solar, Bergey WindPower, The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey, AJL Resources, Conectiv, Day & Night Solar Lite Systems, Absolutely Energized Solar Electric and Mesa Environmental Sciences. The symposium, which is free and open to the public, is part of Clean Energy Week at Rowan, which also includes photovoltaic installers training by ETM Solar on Monday through Thursday, June 14 to 17.
