Students in Rowan's English Department are high achievers who share a love of reading and literature. The Bachelor of Arts in English incorporates a diverse mix of literature—classic, contemporary, and non-Western.  Students develop analytical thinking, writing, and research skills and small class sizes provide the ideal setting for informal, student-led discussions. Many of our English majors pursue dual degree programs in education or drama, or customize their studies with concentrations in International, Asian, or Africana Studies.  Our graduates do very well in the job market and have found rewarding careers in a vast array of fields.
