Whether you're interested in a career with a big firm or starting your own business, Rowan's accounting program through the Rohrer College of Business will get you on your way. Rowan offers a bachelor of science degree in accounting and an MBA with an accounting specialization covering such areas as intermediate and advanced accounting, accounting information systems, budgeting, internal auditing, tax laws, cost and managerial accounting, and preparation for the CPA exam. Rowan accounting majors get hands-on experience while still in school with internships ranging from international firms like Deloitte and Touche, Ernst & Young and Checkpoint Systens to the State of New Jersey. Students gain tax preparation experience through the federally sponsored Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program, which offers free tax preparation to people of low to moderate income.
