Physical Science: Chemistry
Rowan's Bachelor of Science in Physical Science prepares students for a range of career options. Designed to give students a broad background, this degree provides a rigorous immersion in the sciences but is flexible, featuring up to 23 semester hours of free and/or directed electives. Those electives may be used to pursue a variety of options including physical science teaching certification, completion of a concentration or minor, or to simply develop one's passion in a core physical science. A Rowan degree in Physical Science is great preparation for post-bac degree programs, interdisciplinary graduate programs, a job in industry or government, or teaching high school science. Students choose a base specialization (physics or chemistry) and either one of the pre-designed “career tracks” set of courses, or, with the help of their advisor, design their own.
