      1:45PM – 2:45PM Faculty Presentation MPR COM faculty will review important features of the COMLEX-USA examination program as well as introduction to the enhanced blueprint for COMLEX-USA coming in 2018-2019. In addition, COM faculty will have the opportunity to learn more about COMAT, COMSAE, and other NBOME products and services. As the Single Accreditation System for GME is implemented by the ACGME, AOA and AACOM, COM faculty will be provided with an update and breaking news about the widespread acceptance of COMLEX-USA by the ACGME for residency program and fellowship applications
      2:45PM – 4:30PM Item Writing Workshop MPR

      Objectives:

      Summarize the basic item-writing principles for multiple choice item examination formats
      Identify common flaws in item writing and potential ways to address them
      Write items that reflect item-writing best practices
      Begin to practice a collegial approach to item writing review and constructive critique

    • Faculty are encouraged to complete the following online course prior to the workshop.
