About Category 1B Programs

Method of Participation

For successful completion of this activity and awarding of credits, individuals are required to participate in the entire activity session and complete an attestation form, pre-test, post-test and an evaluation form. The post-test must have a passing grade of 70 to submit to the AOA for Category 1B credit.

Accreditation

Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) to provide osteopathic continuing medical education for physicians. RowanSOM
will report Category 1-B CME credits.

Purpose

Consistent with the mission and vision of the Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine, the school's Continuing Medical Education provides this program of education with the goal of improving the quality of patient care by providing lifelong education opportunities for physicians and healthcare providers.

 

 

PLEASE NOTE that the dates for the current AOA CME cycle started January 1, 2016 and will end December 31, 2018.  The AOA requires all members to earn 120 credits over a three year cycle of which 30 CME credits should be recorded in AOA Category 1-A and the remaining 90 credits may be accumulated in any category 1-A, 1-B, 2-A or 2-B.
