Family Medicine Residency Program
- Program Director: Alison Mancuso, DO
- Residency Coordinator: Kathleen Maguire
Our residency program seeks to broaden the scope of knowledge from the medical school curriculum to both inpatient and outpatient clinical practice of medicine. The program is structurally committed to educating physicians in all aspects of family medicine, and our training will qualify him/her to practice in the fields of medicine and surgery.
The Rowan SOM Family Medicine Residency program is uniquely osteopathic in education. While we excel in Osteopathic Manipulative Therapy education and treatment, we integrate true Osteopathic Philosophy and Practice while promoting a philosophy of cooperation among our students, residents, and faculty. We have 223 paid faculty here at Rowan-SOM including 23 full time paid faculty in the Department of Family Medicine. This does not include numerous volunteer faculty throughout the community.
The number of residents for the 2016/2017 academic year is as follows:
- OGME 1 – 7
- OGME 2 –7
- OGME 3 – 7
- TOTAL - 21
