The Kennedy Health Care Center, located adjacent to the hospital in Washington Township, is Kennedy's highly-rated continuing care facility.
Lourdes Health System
Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center is a preeminent regional medical center known for providing the most sophisticated levels of care. For over five decades, the Medical Center has been committed to enhancing the health and well being of southern New Jersey residents and particularly devoted to caring for those most in need. The Medical Center is sponsored by the Franciscan Sisters of Allegany, NY, who came to Camden in 1950 to open the hospital that would be a transforming healing presence in the community. Today, Our Lady of Lourdes is a 410-bed teaching facility known for being a leader in the provision of state–of-the-art services as well as an essential provider of primary care services to all.
RowanSOM, General Surgery Residents rotate throughout Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center throughout their four years of training. Residents participate on the general, vascular, transplant and cardiothoracic surgical teams.
Cooper University Hospital
RowanSOM, General Surgery Residents rotate through Cooper for two months during their PGY III year on the Trauma Service under the tutelage of Steven Ross, M.D. Residents are exposed to a large scope and volume of blunt and penetrating trauma cases. Several graduates of our program have successfully been accepted into the Trauma Fellowship at this institution.
During their PGY IV year, residents return to Cooper University Medical Center for a one-month rotation on the Pediatric Surgery Services under the guidance of Dennis Hoelzer, M.D.
AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center (ARMC)

AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center is a 567 bed teaching hospital with campuses in Atlantic City and Pomona, NJ. The Level II trauma center located in the Atlantic City campus is the region’s only state designated trauma center, treating the most critically ill and injured patients in southeastern NJ. RowanSOM, General Surgery residents rotate through ARMC for two months on the Trauma service working with trauma surgeons, specialty nurses, anesthesiologists, radiologists, therapists and technicians prepared for any emergency.
