Entrance and Exit Counseling
If you have never received a Direct Loan, you are required to complete Entrance Counseling to understand your rights and responsibilities for the loans you are assuming.
Students who received educational loans while in attendance at the University and withdraw, are dismissed, or take a Leave of Absence must also complete Exit Counseling. Exit Counseling provides valuable information on how to prepare for and repay your student loans. School of Osteopathic Medicine students are required to attend a mandatory in-person Exit Counseling program in the fourth year in addition to fulfilling the online Exit Counseling requirement. The program dates are built into the academic calendar. Students should review the academic calendar prior to scheduling vacations and away rotations.
