Your Gift’s Impact

Medical Education

RowanSOM ranks as a leader in the nation for its academic programs in osteopathic medicine, providing outstanding undergraduate, graduate and continuing medical education. In July 2016, RowanSOM expanded our class size from 162 students to 186 students in order to try to offset the projected physician shortage. In 2018, the class size will grow to 200 students. A larger class size means a greater demand for scholarship dollars. You can help our future physicians through a gift that supports medical education.

Gifts to medical education also impact the Osteopathic Postdoctoral Training Institution’s (OPTI) five Internship and twenty-two residency and fellowship programs, as well as the Continuing Medical Education Key Essentials for Optimizing Patient Care Series.

Research

At RowanSOM, our researchers continue to push the boundaries and break ground in critical studies. With more than 100 studies underway at the School, top investigators, cutting-edge equipment and financial support are in constant demand. While fiscal year 2017 proved to be a record year for research funding, more support is needed.

Work in cancer and Alzheimer's, Parkinson's and canavans diseases are just a few of the studies conducted at RowanSOM. Our focus is not only in the purest of research, but also in clinical treatment advances.

Patient Care and Community Outreach

Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine is committed to our community and the quality of patient care. We continue to provide our community with access to high quality, cost-effective, neighborhood-based primary care. Our faculty, residents, and students are serving many of the most vulnerable populations throughout the region.

We give medical students, residents, practicing physicians, and other health care providers the opportunity to learn and perfect the latest techniques and best practices for patient care and safety.
