Current Fellows

 Drew Maygren, DO graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in Zoology. He received his Doctor of Osteopathy from Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his Psychiatry-tracked internship at UMDNJ-SOM. He is participating in a 3+2 Psychiatry/Geriatric Psychiatry training program. Dr. Maygren is a first-year fellow.

Tony Tran, DO graduated from Johns Hopkins University with a degree in Biomedical Engineering. He received his Doctor of Osteopathy from A.T. Still University-Kirksville School of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his Family Medicine residency at Brookhaven Memorial Hospital in New York. Dr. Tran is a first-year fellow.

Shao-Chun Yeh, DO
Shao-Chun Yeh, DO graduated with Honors from Rutgers University with a double major in Genetics and Computer Science. He received his Doctor of Osteopathy from UMDNJ-School of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his internship and family medicine residency at UMDNJ-SOM. Dr. Yeh is a second-year fellow.

Samuel Zwetchkenbaum, DDS
Sam Zwetchkenbaum, DDS graduated from Brown University with a degree in Applied Mathematics and Biology. He received his Doctor of Dentistry from University of North Carolina School of Dentistry and did his General Practice Residency at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis, MN. He completed fellowships in Prosthodontics at the UMDNJ-New Jersey Dental School and in Maxillofacial Prosthodontics at University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center. Dr. Zwetchkenbaum is a second-year fellow.

Jill York, DDS (Class of 1993) was appointed the Hunterdon Endowed Chair of Dental Public Health at Rutgers University School of Dental Medicine, effective July 1, 2013.





Wunhuey Cheng, DO (Class of 2013) won 1st Prize at the 21st Annual Eastern Pennsylvania Geriatrics Society Research Night in May, 2013.

Christian White, DO (Class of 2012) passed Part 1 (written) of the General Psychiatry Boards in the spring of 2012. Dr. White also won 1st Prize at the 20th Annual Eastern Pennsylvania Geriatrics Society Resident Research Night in May, 2012.

Hima Bindu Parchuri, DO (Class of 2010) received her Certificate of Added Qualifications in Geriatrics from the American Osteopathic Board of Family Practitioners in May 2012.

Kevin Overbeck, DO (Class of 2007) was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society, after being nominated by UMDNJ-SOM medical students in 2012.

Wayne Carlsen, DO (Class of 1991) was appointed Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Board of Osteopathic Medical Examiners to serve from 12/2011 through 12/2013.

Jill York, DDS (Class of 1993) practices in NJ. In 11/2011, she was appointed Assistant Dean for Extramural Clinics of UMDNJ-NJ Dental School with the goal of creating oral care facilities for underserved, uninsured, and underrepresented NJ residents. Also in 2011, she was appointed as a Consultant for the HRSA-National Quality Center.

Stephen Scheinthal, DO (Class of 1997) was made a Distinguished Fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Neurologists and Psychiatrists in 2011.
