Alumni Giving Back

The Power of Giving: The Circle of Love… What I know for sure is that what you give comes back to you. —Oprah Winfrey

The Educational Opportunity Fund Program is a State grant and University funded program. Funding for programs in higher education is continuously decreasing which directly impact the support and resources for the most deserving students.

Support of the Educational Opportunity Fund program is essential to continue the work we do preparing students for post collegiate life. Whether you prefer giving as part of your annual gift, creating an endowment or through a planned gift, each contribution makes an impact on current and future EOF students at Rowan University. To see a list of giving opportunities, please visit our University Advancement website. If you have questions pertaining to making a donation, please contact the University Advancement office at 856-256-5410.

Pre College Institute Leadership Conference

We invite EOF/MAP Alumni to join us for the annual EOF/MAP Student Leadership Conference. The Student Leadership Conference is a 3 day conference that is held during Pre-College Institute summer program and provides 200 EOF/MAP pre-freshman the opportunity to experience a leadership themed professional conference. During the conference, the pre-freshman will hear from keynote speakers and alumni presenters on topics such as career choices, leadership development and college life. One of the most valuable experiences of this event is the opportunity for pre-freshman students to network with EOF/MAP alumni. “Meeting successful EOF/MAP alumni is like looking into a mirror of my future.” We encourage our fantastic EOF/MAP alumni to participate in this conference by sharing their career and personal achievements, speaking on topics such as careers, leadership, college and life success, healthy choices, persistence and perseverance and the power of giving back.

Internship/Externship Opportunities

EOF/MAP students are eager to gain valuable work experience in their intended career and an extremely powerful experience is for an EOF/MAP student to intern at the place of employment of a fellow EOF/MAP alumni. The externship opportunity would allow EOF/MAP college students to reside with an EOF/MAP alumni during the spring and/or winter break We encourage our EOF/MAP alumni to commit to securing internship opportunities at their places of employment to provide a for and mentoring EOF/MAP students.

We encourage our EOF/MAP alumni and supporters to join us in making a difference.

Thank you for your continued support of the Educational Opportunity Fund program.
