Alumni Giving Back

Dear EOF/MAP Alumni,

Thank you for the financial assistance in getting my textbooks for my classes. Because of your support I will be able to get three of my textbooks for my fall classes. Your commitment to giving back to the EOF/MAP Program has benefited me in great ways; for example, you have helped take away the stress and endless worry over buying all of those expensive books! Your thoughtfulness means so much to me.

Georgtoria (PCI 2015)

Utilizing the EOF Special Assistance Fund, the EOF department assisted 50 students with the cost of textbooks last semester. In fall of 2015, the department dedicated $8,000 to textbooks alone. With the rising costs of education and supplemental materials, students are finding it more difficult to pay for their textbooks.

Donations will provide immediate assistance to students in the spring 2016 semester. Please click the link below to help us meet our goal!

EOF Textbook Assistance - Spring 2016

With sincere gratitude, the EOF/MAP program would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to all the alumni that came out for Homecoming 2015 and made generous donations to the EOF/MAP Special Assistance Fund. As an EOF/MAP friend or alumnus, you are aware of the challenges faced by our students. The cost of education has far exceeded the financial aid award and these donations help us assist students with the purchase of their textbooks, study abroad support, test fees, and so much more. If you are interested in making a donation to the EOF/MAP Special Assistance Fund, please click on the link below. If you know some folks that would like to make a donation, please share the link. Again, Thank You....Alumni are truly the "Key To Our Future"!

The Educational Opportunity Fund Program is a State grant and University funded program. Funding for programs in higher education is rapidly decreasing which directly impacts the support and resources necessary for the most deserving students.

Support of the Educational Opportunity Fund program is essential to continue the work that is needed to prepare students for post collegiate life. Whether you prefer giving as part of your annual gift, creating an endowment, or through a planned gift, each contribution makes an impact on current and future EOF students at Rowan University. To see a list of giving opportunities, please visit our Special Assistance Fund Donation website. If you have questions pertaining to making a donation, please contact the University Advancement office at 856-256-5419.

Pre College Institute Leadership Conference

We invite EOF/MAP Alumni to join us for the annual EOF/MAP Student Leadership Conference. The Student Leadership Conference is a 3 day conference that is held during Pre-College Institute summer program and provides 200 EOF/MAP pre-freshmen the opportunity to experience a leadership themed professional conference. During the conference, the pre-freshmen will hear from keynote speakers and alumni presenters on topics such as Career Choices, Leadership Development and College Life. One of the most valuable experiences of this event is the opportunity for pre-freshmen students to network with EOF/MAP alumni. “Meeting successful EOF/MAP alumni is like looking into a mirror of my future.” We encourage our fantastic EOF/MAP alumni to participate in this conference by sharing their career and personal achievements, speaking on topics such as careers, leadership, college and life success, healthy choices, persistence and perseverance and the power of giving back.

Internship Opportunities

EOF/MAP students are eager to gain valuable work experience in their intended career. The opporunity to intern at the place of employment of a fellow EOF/MAP alumni is an extremely powerful experience. We encourage our alumni to commit to securing internship opportunities at their places of employment to provide this opportunity for our EOF/MAP students.

We encourage our EOF/MAP alumni and supporters to join us in making a difference. Thank you for your continued support of the Educational Opportunity Fund/Maximizing Academic Potential Program.
