Maximizing Academic Potential Program Pre College Institute As an EOF/MAP student, you are required to attend a five-week residential summer orientation session on the Rowan University campus. The PCI program is designed to help EOF/MAP student’s transition to the rigors of college study and campus life. It includes coursework, structured study periods, a campus orientation and social activities. You'll also get an advance look at the campus-wide student clubs, organizations and activities available at Rowan. The PCI program develops a community of learners and support networks which assists with their successful transition to Rowan University. This program is divided into four components to assist EOF/MAP students in making the transition from high school to college. Academic: To assist students in developing academic skills necessary to compete successfully in a university setting. Interpersonal: To assist students in developing interpersonal skills to effectively communicate. Residential: To assist students in developing shared living skills needed to successfully reside on a campus. Leadership: To assist students in developing concepts of personal leadership. By the time the fall semester begins, students have a head start on their life as a Rowan University student-both academically and socially.
