Incoming freshmen will receive their preliminary financial aid award offer via
US Postal Mail beginning March 9, 2009. The award letter will be sent to the
address maintained by the Registrar’s office. Subsequent award changes
announcements, and any up-to-date information will be sent to your Rowan
Student email account. Your Rowan email will be the official mode of
communication with the Financial Aid Office. Please check your e-mail on a
frequent basis.

If requested by Rowan, please submit a copy of appropriate tax returns and

any additional paperwork. Please make sure the student’s name and Rowan

I.D. number are on every document submitted to the Financial Aid Office on
the student’s behalf.

To apply for housing, please log in using your 9-digit Rowan ID number, included in your
admissions packet, and use your 6-digit birth date as your pin (unless you have already

deposit to Admissions.

        Explore the functions of Rowan Self Service an online system that will be important

        to you for registration and viewing schedules, grades, and transcripts. Select

        Concise Student Schedule for a printed copy of your schedule.

        Review your regular Financial Aid award notice that was sent to your Rowan Student

        email account. Review and accept Stafford loans and other aid offered. Grants are

        automatically accepted. Students must accept loans before July 27th in order for the

        financial aid to be credited to your account. Explore alternative loan options and visit

         Complete the LCI prior to orientation to discover your personal learning styles. Take

Prior to practice or classes

Sports physicals must be completed on campus before practice begins or the
start of classes. Please contact your coach with any questions.

        NJ law requires fulltime students to have health insurance. All fulltime students will be

        automatically enrolled and charged a fee for health insurance. To waive this fee, students

        must complete a waiver form online at: www.rowan.edu/selfservice (choose

        “Access Banner Services”, enter user ID and PIN, then select “Student Self Insurance”

        and enter information).

       *To avoid the insurance charge on the fall tuition bill submit waiver by July 6th. Tuition

        bills are due August 4th so to avoid payment, waiver must be submitted by August 1st.

        Last date to submit waiver and avoid charges is September 25th.
