Rowan University is pleased that all students and employees are part of a program that provides an opportunity to discover personal learning patterns by taking the Learning Connections Inventory (LCI) via the Internet. This instrument will help students and employees to learn more about who they are as learners and how this awareness can contribute to success in and out of the classroom and workplace.

The LCI Initiative started in fall 2006 with requesting that all freshmen complete the LCI. Transfer students are encouraged to complete the LCI as well. By 2010 the majority of undergraduate students at Rowan University will know their learning patterns and how to decode and strategize for greater success in and out of the classroom.

Many faculty and instructors at Rowan will be using the terminology of the LCI to communicate strategies and procedures for academic success and to overcome academic challenges.

All employees are encouraged to complete the LCI. Knowledge of learning patterns and how individuals process information is very helpful in the work environment and can help to build community and reduce tension in departments and divisions. There is no fee for students and individuals employed at Rowan to take the LCI.

We recommend that all students print out their LCI results and keep them handy or bring them to class when requested, as they will be participating in programs to discuss the results. Also, students and employees can access their account at any time via the website, using their Username and Password

If you have any technological problems or questions concerning completing the LCI please contact Dainton@LCRinfo.com
