Transfer/New Student Orientation
Our next Orientation for transfers will be
Dear New Student: Welcome to Rowan University! To officially welcome you and assist with your transition, the University will host a Transfer Orientation on June 3, 2009. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. in the Recreation Center Gymnasium and the first 45 minutes will be a showcase of student services and organizations. Please make every effort to attend Orientation to help ensure the best possible transition to Rowan. An overview of the day’s program will be enclosed with your welcome letter. If you are transferring and have received your credit evaluation, it is important that you bring it with you so that your departmental advisor can assist you with course selection. If you have not received your evaluation, please be sure to bring copies of your transcripts from the colleges you have previously attended. You will register for fall semester courses as part of the Orientation program if you did not register prior to April 29. All freshmen and students transferring with less than 30 credits are required to take the Placement Test. You can do so prior to New Student Orientation by calling 856-256-4259 to arrange a testing date. It is advised that you take the test prior to Orientation, but it may be taken at Transfer Orientation on June 3, 2009 if need be. New students will register for fall semester courses as part of the Orientation Program, but cannot do so until the test is completed. You are invited to be our guest for lunch from 12:00-2:00 p.m. in the Marketplace, our state of the art dining facility. Please return the enclosed card or email tluncheon@rowan.edu with your response by May 28 if you can attend the lunch. We look forward to seeing you on June 3rd. We hope that your arrival at Rowan University will mark the beginning of an educationally rewarding experience. You may park in Lots B, M1, and EPA; and then proceed to check-in at the Recreation Center Gymnasium.
